Gibela Wesolve4x Maths Competition is an inter-school math competition for learners in grades 4 to 7 only. The competition Registration is free.● Grade 4 to 6 will be written online only on our Website or Wesolve4x App ● Grade 7 will be hand write in person at Nigel Primary School Gauteng.● It consists of two rounds: the first round and the Final round. ● Closing Date 15 September 2025.● First Round Results Will be published 27 September 2025 at 13:00 PM on Wesolve4x Website : Www.wesolve4x.co.za
The competition consists of multiple-choice questions that test students’ problem-solving skills in algebra, geometry, and number theory. Participating in the Gibela Maths Competition can offer numerous benefits to pupils, including developing problem-solving skills, building confidence, and fostering a love for mathematics.
The learner’s shared excitement and passion at the competition will be infectious which will make the hard work of the dedicated Maths teachers worthwhile. The program will reward top-performing learners.
The competition has 2 Rounds-1st round and Final RoundFirst Round● In the first round of the competition, learners will have 180 minutes to complete math problems without a calculator. This round consists of multiple-choice questions that test students’ problem-solving skills in areas such as algebra, geometry, and number theory.●Learners who score 50% and above in the first round will advance to the second round, where they will be tested on their mathematical reasoning. This round includes multi-step problems that assess learners' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving processes.
Final Round● Focuses on problem-solving and mathematical reasoning. Learners who score 50% and above in the first round are allowed to participate. The multi-step problems featured in this round engage learners in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving processes. Problems assume without the use of calculators.

Who can Register● School Representative ● Parent or guardian ● For public and private Schools.● It is mandatory for all learners in the Gibela Wesolve4x Maths Programme to participate in the Competition.● Schools that are not in the Gibela Wesolve4x Maths programme are allowed to register only 20 Top learners to participate in the competition for grade 7 and unlimited for grade 4 to 6 online.● Each school will select A team of 20 grade 7 learners to represent their school in the competition. And unlimited number for grade 4 and 6 online competition● Registrations are done online
